This has just started here. If anyone can tell me what happened in the mini-series before episode 1 where they are hyperjumping every 33 minutes, I'd like to know as I missed it.

I can't actually remember if I saw any of the original as a kid.

I'm guessing earth gets invaded by Cylons so then we work on escaping.

I want to know how come that Doc can see the cylon chick I presume in his mind how does that work obviously he's done something bad and probably will again. (Hey is that the guy that played Bashir in DS9)

How come those other pilots are trying to outrun cylons on the ground, did they crash in cylon territory?

Basically the cylons can now take over people.
(explains the docs situation) he's now living
with the guilt of what he's done and in the movie
puts the blame on some one else for being a cylon
to clear himself.

Ironically the ones on the ground come down to rescue people and one gives her seat up for the
doc, so they stay t ohelp surviviors.

And it's not Earth that gets invaded, it's the origional 12 planets (or something) and the Battlestar gang is off to search for the mystical lost colony of "Earth".
Good series! Much better than the origional.

The original was good. Until they found earth. I liked the new mini-series/pilot. I've only caught a couple episodes since then though.

I think I'm the only person that thinks this new series sucks. Its just so depressing and lifeless. At least that's how I see it. I liked the original a lot better.

I'll buy the depressing, but the first one was chronically cheezy. This one at least has some depth to it, and not the angst-mascarading-as-depth kind.

I certainly don't find it dislikable...it's just on at an akward time and I can't be bothered to track it down or tape it...

It just isn't THAT important to me...I guess that says something about how I feel about the show...
